Milwaukee is a late city. Shifts end late, shows end late, and the walk back from Walker's Point to your car almost always ends with the same question: what's still open?
Late-night food here has its own rules. The menu has to be fast, it has to travel well, and it has to be worth the detour. That narrows the field quickly — plenty of kitchens close long before the neighborhood does.
What makes late-night food actually good
- It's cooked to order, not held under a lamp waiting for the last rush.
- It holds up in a takeout box for the ride home.
- There's something to drink that isn't an afterthought.
- The hours are real — posted, consistent, and honored.
That last one matters more than people expect. A late-night spot that closes early on a whim is worse than no late-night spot at all.
Where Wingz & Things fits
Our flagship sits at 605 S 1st Street in Walkers Point Plaza, and we're open from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday, and until 3:00 AM Thursday through Saturday. Everything is made to order — wings tossed in any of our 12 signature sauces, smash burgers pressed on the flat top, WNT dogs, and homemade lemonades to cool the heat back down.
If you're on the road instead, the Wingz & Things Mobile Food Truck runs across Wisconsin — Milwaukee, Green Bay, Appleton and Sheboygan — with call-ahead pickup at 414-736-6343.
How to plan a late-night run
- Order ahead for pickup so it's boxed when you arrive.
- Split flavors — one sauce per order of six keeps everything distinct.
- Add a homemade lemonade if you went hot.
- Delivery is available from Walkers Point through DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats.
